A 17-member study group from the Mainland Public Security Bureau arrived in Hong Kong last week to attend a nine-day training course at the Police Training School.

This follows Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui's earlier announcement that arrangements would be made for our Mainland counterparts to be sent to Hong Kong to receive specialised training.

The group comprises Directors of Prefectural and Municipal Public Security Bureau, and is led by the Deputy Director, Personnel Training Department, Ministry of Public Security, Mr Sun Jianguo.

On arrival, the group paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Tsang and Deputy Commissioner Management, Mr Lee Ming-kwai.

The training course covers a wide range of subjects, including management mechanism, direction and decision making in operation, complaint and internal investigation procedure and service enhancement project of the Force.
