The purpose of the high-profile visit was to thank Waterfront Division officers who identified 10 separate cases of Canadian visa-application frauds.

At the presentation, Mr Coderre told Waterfront Divisonal Commander, Mr Andy Lovatt, and former Assistant Divisional Commander (Crime), Mr Vincent Lam, that the Canadian Government recognised, and was most grateful for, all the assistance rendered to the local Consulate-General.
