Commercial Crime Bureau Head, Mr Vincent Wong Fook-chuen, presented a token of appreciation to Vice President, Regional Compliance, J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Mr Peter Hazelwood, at the conclusion of five training sessions held for the bureau's inspectors and above.

Mr Wong said that the 'special professional training' sessions covered by Mr Hazelwood and high-ranking associates from the commercial sector, which included topics such as Bank Structures, Fraud Issues & Investigations, and Money Laundering Regulation & Complainee Issues, had been invaluable.

"I hope that there will be more such sessions in the future to better prepare ourselves for handling ever more complex acts of fraud.

"While perhaps not as glamorous or headline grabbing as some of the other types of crime, I have no doubt that if left unchecked commercial fraud has the potential to seriously undermine Hong Kong's role as one of the World's leading financial centres," he added.

Mr Hazelwood is no stranger to the Force or CCB, having served as a Police officer between 1987 and 1996 with the last six years in Commercial Crime Bureau.
