MTR Corporation Operations Director, Mr Phil Gaffney, wrote to Kowloon East Regional Commander, Mr Mak Man-poon, commending the efforts of officers deployed to cover the opening of the MTR Tseung Kwan O Station. "In particular," said Mr Gaffney, " I would like to mention the excellent cooperation received from Kwun Tong District Acting Commander, Mr Lam Wah-chiu, and Tseung Kwan O Divisional Commander, Mr Choi Yuk-kwan, both of whom are a credit to the Force in what was, at times, a difficult situation." Mr Gaffney also wrote a separate letter to the MTR District Commander, Mr Albert Kwok, thanking him and his team for a job well done.
