'Basketball Kids' & 'Violent Kids' court victory
A basketball course for Force children came to an exciting close on August 15 when the kids battled at the 2002 Police Children's Annual Basketball Tournament. 64 teenagers completing the five-week summer training course were split into eight teams, 'Basketball Kids', 'Spring Field Flowers', 'Magic Dragon', 'Youth Cops', 'Violent Kids', 'Raptors', 'Black Eagles' and 'Strike Backers' to compete for the Chairman's Cups Annual Basketball Tournament. Finally, 'Basketball Teens' and 'Violent Kids' won the Chairman's Cups in Intermediate and Junior divisions respectively. Other winners were: Yan Siu-chun (Violent Kids) - Most Valuable Player; Tang Kwan-hei (Basketball Teens) - Best Shooter; and Lau Siu-ming (Spring Field Flowers) - Best Rebound.
