Vice President Regional Card Fraud Risk of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Mr Kenny Lau, representing the industry, said: "The industry as a whole greatly appreciates the efforts made by CCB on counterfeit payment card crime."

Burglary & Fencing: Representatives from two private firms earlier commended officers of the Central Division for solving a number of cases involving burglary and handling stolen property.

Snatching: At another presentation ceremony, officers attached to Kowloon West Emergency Unit Number Two Platoon were presented with an appreciation banner for their professionalism in the detection of a snatching case. The officers arrested the suspect and recovered $300,000 of stolen cash.

Burglary: In Eastern District, a group of local community leaders, including District Council members and representatives from mutual aid committees, earlier presented banners to officers of the Task Force and Patrol Sub-Unit Two of Chai Wan Division, in appreciation of their efforts in arresting two burglary suspects.
