Members of the Executive Council visited the North Point Police Station on October 8 and learned about the day-to-day work of the Force in maintaining law and order.

They were received by Commissioner Mr Tsang Yam-pui and were briefed on various policing issues including the law and order situation and juvenile crime.

During their visit to the premises, which pioneered the Force's Station Improvement Project launched in 1998 to upgrade 59 police stations, the visitors were shown the many improved facilities, including the report room and resource centre.

They were also shown the wide variety of equipment used by personnel in different Police formations, including the Emergency Unit, the Police Tactical Unit and traffic police.
