Force teams outplayed at Garrison Open Day
The Force fielded a football team and basketball team to play against members of the Garrison at the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Open Day on October 6.
Led by the Director of Operations Mr Tang King-sing and Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Mr Fok Man-kwan, the two teams attended opening ceremonies at which souvenirs were exchanged and photographs taken before taking to the field. Despite doing their utmost to win and displaying the true spirit of good sportsmanship, both teams were outplayed: the PLA won the football match 2:1 and the basketball match 91:60.
It is hoped that future exchanges of this type will further promote a better understanding and friendly rivalry between the Force and Garrison.
