A seven-member delegation from Macao, led by the Secretary for Security, Mr Cheong Kuoc Va, paid a courtesy call on Commissioner, Mr Tsang Yam-pui, late last month.

During the meeting, both sides discussed issues of mutual interest, including computer crime and money laundering. They also agreed to further enhance cooperation in fighting casino-related crime.

On anti-terrorism work, Mr Tsang stressed that both sides would actively increase the exchange of intelligence and introduce effective measures to curb illegal activities by terrorists. "Most importantly," he said,"we must step up training for our officers so that they can respond promptly and effectively to any attacks by terrorists."

Before winding up the visit, the delegation went to the Police Training School, where they were given a tour of facilities in the Tactical Training Complex.
