New Territories South (NTS): NTS Regional Commander, Mr Mike Dowie, recently presented letters of appreciation to officers from Tsuen Wan Operational Base who were engaged on traffic management duties in and around Kwai Chung Container Port for the two day period, September 12 and 13, that followed the lowering of a No 8 Typhoon Signal. Mr Dowie commended them for ensuring that, despite the arrival of 74,500 goods vehicles, arterial routes were kept open and operations in the terminal itself were able to continue, albeit more slowly than usual. "Your professionalism, while working long and arduous hours in adverse weather conditions and heavy air pollution, reflected creditably on yourselves and the Force," he wrote.
Sau Mau Ping: Legislative Councillor Mr Chan Kam-lam, and representatives of Kwun Tong District Council, presented silver plaques to Sau Mau Ping officers involved in the detection of a number of 'Theft from a Vehicle' and 'Use of a Forged Credit Card' cases in the district.
Mong Kok: A delegation from the Mong Kok Chiu Chau Yu Lan Festival Organising Committee recently presented a letter of appreciation to Mong Kok District Commander Mr To Chun-wai, and his staff, in recognition of their efficient and caring attitude on crowd management and community relations duties during Rice-Giving Events.
