Volleyball & Aquathon contribution to Corporate Games

The Police Volleyball Club recently sent both its Men's and Women's teams to the Corporate Games. Following a 'very tough battle' over two weeks, both teams managed to clinch the winning title, repeating their last year's achievement.

Following the victory, a spokesman for the club appealed for new blood for the two teams. Force members, who are interested in volleyball, should contact Mr Chung Tai-keung at 9326-5668 for joining the Men's team, and Mr Kwok Siu-sum at 9055-1461 for the Women's.

In another development, five Force members took part in the Corporate Games Aquathon event held in October at Kowloon Tsai swimming pool and park. Each competitor swam 400m and ran 3.9km on a hot and windless morning. The competition was stiff, particularly from the Fire Services Team, which was the overall winner. The Force team however did very well to finish a close second and earn 5 points towards the overall Hong Kong Police team score for the Corporate Games.
