There have been rapid developments in the logistics industry in recent years. Transportation of goods and services is one of Hong Kong's main contributors to the economy. It also helps Hong Kong integrate with industry throughout the Pearl River Delta Region and this has great potential for future economic growth.

The consensus among those attending was that the seminar had fully met its three main objectives: (1) to remind all of the importance of security; (2) to share experience in order to improve security and prevent crime, and (3) to establish channels of communication helping all stakeholders work together to ensure the healthy development of the logistics business.
