Officers' hard work recognised

Sha Tin: Officers from the Sha Tin Police District were presented with appreciation banners from a woman in recognition of their swift action in the detection of a street deception case. In the morning of November 26, a man approached the woman and attempted to cheat her out of about $80,000 worth of cash and valuables for a spiritual ritual that, he claimed, would help the victim avoid misfortune. After receiving information from a local bank, Police promptly arrested the swindler.

Mong Kok: The Chairman and members of Fei Ngan Tung Buddhism & Taoism Society presented a piece of calligraphic painting to Mong Kok Assistant District Commander Mr Cheung Tak-keung, Chief Inspector Mr Ma Hing-kwok, Acting Chief Inspector Mr Lim Che-chung and officers of the District Traffic Team in appreciation of their professionalism, support and assistance given to the organising of a "Thousand People Dinner" for the elderly, which resulted in the smooth running of the event on that day.
