SARS victim welcomed back to work

Mong Kok District (MKDIST) Police Translator Ms Queeny Ng, a resident of Amoy Gardens, Block E, unfortunately contracted Atypical Pneumonia and was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital on March 27. On her return to work on June 3, Ms Ng was welcomed with open arms and cordial greetings by her colleagues at a party specially arranged for her.

The Welcome Home Tea Party, at which Kowloon West (KW) Regional Commander Mr Mike Dowie acted as host, was also attended by MKDIST Commander Mr To Chun-wai, Psychological Services Group's Dr Li Kam-wah and Dr Lau Kam-lun, KW Force Welfare Officer Ms Kwok Sin-yee, Chief Police Translator Mr Lau Shat-kay, and officers from various units of KW Region and MKDIST.

All present congratulated Queeny on her victory in the fight against SARS and extended warm welcomes to her. Queeny, filled with joy and excitement, thanked everybody for their care and support.

She hoped Hong Kong would be free from SARS very soon and also took the opportunity to wish other SARS patients a speedy recovery.
