Chairmen of the Central & Western and Southern District Councils, Central & Western and Southern District Fight Crime Committees, Wong Chuk Hang and Stanley Area Committees, Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Merchants Association Ltd, and banks, all commended police officers for tackling various crimes including intimidation, illegal soccer betting and credit card fraud. They were particularly impressed with the officers' swift action in arresting more than 20 Vietnamese illegal immigrants in May.
