Fight against vehicle crime in Sha Tin

Shatin District Fight Crime Committee, Shatin Police and New Territories South Crime Prevention Office recently organised a symposium on strengthening security measures of car parks in Shatin District, aiming at ensuring quality security management and reducing vehicle crime in car parks in the district.

At the forum, more than 30 representatives from car park management companies were briefed on the crime trends, the culprits' modus operandi and effective measures to curb the crime.

At the same time, Shatin Police and Community Relations Office and District Intelligence Section and 60 plus Junior Police Call (JPC) members, working in four teams under the leadership of District Council Chairman Mr Wai Kwok-hung, District Officer Mr Chan Kwan-yee, and JPC Honorary Presidents, Dr Lo Wai-kwok and Mr Cho Kwai-yee, distributed pamphlets in the district to alert drivers and vehicle owners to the importance of strengthening security measures.
