Commissioner' Formation/Unit Commendations

Early in August 90 officers - 15 representatives from each of six formations/units - attended a formal presentation ceremony in the Police Headquarters Senior Officers' Mess to receive the Commissioner's Commendations for efforts made in combating the Atypical Pneumonia outbreak.

The formations/units receiving the award were: Kowloon East Operations Wing, Kowloon East Crime Wing, Sau Mau Ping District, Tin Sum Division, New Territories South Region Police Tactical Unit Alpha Company No 3 Platoon, and Crime Wing Headquarters Major Incident Investigation and Disaster Support System.

The officers representing their fomations/units were also among the 1,685 individual members of the Force who were awarded the Hong Kong SAR Government's 'Certificate of Appreciation for Staff Combating Atypical Pneumonia Disease'.
