The Chairman of the Royal Hong Kong Police Association (RHKPA), Mr Keith Lomas, has invited members of the Force to join the association.

Mr Lomas retired from the Force as Deputy Commissioner in 1994. He said both disciplined and civilian officers were welcome to join the association when he returned to Hong Kong last month to call on friends and former colleagues, including the Commissioner, Mr Dick Lee Ming-kwai.

He added that the association was formed before the Second World War for "social purposes". It holds four functions every year, namely a reunion lunch in London near the Chinese New Year; an Annual General Meeting and weekend reunion in south of England in May; a Chinese lunch in Soho in July; and a weekend gathering in north or middle of England in October.

The association has about 920 members, including some retired JPOs.

Those who are interested in joining the association may contact Mr Lomas on lomaskeith@hotmail.com
