The 9th Annual Police Dog Trials will be held at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on Sunday, February 29, with Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Mr Tang King-shing officiating.

All Force members and their families are invited to witness first-hand the training and prowess of police dogs and handlers at their best.

Police dog trials have been held every year since 1996 to enhance dog handling skills and camaraderie of the Police Dog Unit's handlers. The event is usually well attended by the handlers, and competition is keen in both the novice and open categories. Besides patrol dog competitions, the trials will also include Dangerous Drugs & Tracker and Explosive detection dog categories.

In addition to dog trials, there will be a special demonstration of attack work by recently acquired licensed dogs from the Netherlands - Malinois. The Police Band will be in attendance.
