Force to participate in Education and Careers Expo

The Force will participate in the Education and Careers Expo 2004 to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from February 19 to 22.

The Police booth will serve the purposes of enhancing Police image by demonstrating officers' dedication to serving the community, introducing different aspects of Police work and attracting people of high calibre to join the Force.

In addition, crime prevention messages, including advice on safe use of credit cards, anti-theft and anti-household burglary measures, will be displayed on panels.

Officers from various Police formations, including Police Tactical Unit, Traffic, Airport Security Unit, Marine Region, Weapons Training Division and Emergency Unit, will also be present at different sessions to brief visitors on their work and demonstrate some of their equipment, such as bullet resistant vests, extendable batons, carbon dioxide detectors as well as night vision goggles.

All Force members and members of the public are welcome to visit the Police booth at the Expo, which will be open from 10.30 am to 7 pm on February 19; 10 am to 7 pm on February 20 and 21; and from 10 am to 6 pm on February 22.
