An eight-member delegation from the Police Science Society of China (PSSC) had friendly and amiable exchanges with four Staff Associations during a visit to the Force early March.

At a meeting with representatives of the Staff Associations, the delegation was briefed on the associations' roles and functions. The meeting was the first of its kind jointly organised by the four Staff Associations.

Describing the visit as a great success, Staff Association representatives said the visit had not only enhanced communications between the two sides, but also opened up an avenue for future collaboration on staff relation matters.

The delegation was led by two Vice Presidents, Mr Hu Zhiguang and Mr Li Hong, both retired Deputy Minister of Public Security Bureau (PSB). They were joined by representatives from branches in Hunan, Mongolia and Zhejiang.

PSSC is a national organisation based in Beijing. Funded by the PSB, its principal objectives are to deal with staff relation matters, consolidate policing experience from all parts of China, conduct research and publish findings on policing matters at the national level.

While in Hong Kong, the delegation had also met with the Commissioner and visited the Kowloon Regional Command and Control Centre and the Police Training School.
