Commissioner Mr Lee Ming-kwai gave a presentation entitled "Crime and Terrorism - the Hong Kong Approach" on April 16 at the Singapore Police Force Annual Work Plan Seminar at the invitation of the Singapore Commissioner.

After his talk, Mr Lee also answered questions from the floor, and later toured the seminar's static displays set up by various formations of the Singapore police on their work, new equipment and technology.

"The Singapore Police Force and ourselves share much in common and face very similar challenges. Both the Singapore Commissioner and myself appreciate the benefits of continued co-operation between our two forces," Mr Lee commented.

Before returning to Hong Kong, Mr Lee took the opportunity to visit the Woodlands Check Point at the border between Singapore and Malaysia, as well as the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force.

The two-day seminar on "Crime and Terrorism" was attended by a cross-section of all ranks of the Singapore police.
