In Excel, we can either drag the "fill handle" or execute the "Fill" option in the "Edit" menu to copy data in a cell to its adjacent cells.

Dragging the "fill handle" to copy the data in cell A1 to the cell range B1:E1

1. Suppose we have the following data in cell A1.

2. Move the cursor to the "fill handle" (lower right corner of the cell). Now the cursor has changed to the form of a black cross.

3. Drag the "fill handle" to E1 and then release the mouse button. The following result will be obtained.

Executing the "Fill" option on the "Edit" menu to copy the data in cell A1 to the cell range B1:E1

1. Suppose cell A1 stores the following data.

2. Select the cell range A1:E1.

3. There are a number of commands under the "Fill" option in the "Edit" menu. Please execute the "Right" command as shown in the following figure.

4. The following result will be obtained.

I believe that it is not difficult for our smart readers to master the above techniques. Next time, I will continue to talk about the method of filling the adjacent cells successively.
