A total of 40 officers, including serving and retired disciplined officers, as well as civilian staff, have been honoured in the 2004 HKSARG Honours and Awards List. The award tally comprises six Hong Kong Police Medals for Distinguished Service, two Bronze Bauhinia Stars, one Medal for Bravery (Bronze), 23 Hong Kong Police Medals for Meritorious Service, two Medals of Honour, one Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service, and five Chief Executive's Commendations for Government/Public Service, including three for SARS.
