Funds for Mainland students

Officers and civilian staff of Emergency Unit Kowloon West have collected a donation of $10,300 in aid of students in remote mountainous areas of the Mainland, in response to calls made by Superintendent Chan Ka-kit and Chief Inspector Lee Kiu-ki, both of EU KW.

In accepting a cheque for the donation, the Chairman of the "Friends of Hope Education Fund" founded by Force members, Senior Superintendent Wong Hung-tak, thanked EU KW's support and hoped that the message of helping the less fortunate could be passed on to all Force members. He also appealed for support for the Education Fund's 13-day fund-raising Walkathon from Kunming to Lijiang, which is scheduled to take place in August.
