A communication company recently paid tribute to Kowloon East Crime Headquarters for recovering $1.2 million worth of mobile phones stolen from the company and arresting five suspects.

Four men, one armed with a beef knife, robbed the company of 1,300 sets of mobile phones valued at $2.3 million on October 12. Four days later, officers of Regional Crime Unit (RCU) 2 arrested five men and recovered half of the stolen goods.

In appreciation of the officers' efforts, representatives of the company called at Kai Tak Operational Base to present banners and souvenirs to Senior Superintendent (Crime) Laurie Kevin.

Kowloon East Regional Commander Kevan Cooper also attended the presentation ceremony and praised the RCU officers for a job well done.
