Over 700 sportsmen from all Formations in Kowloon West (KW) Region took part in 16 individual and five team events in the Region's annual Sports Day held on November 26 at the PSRC.

The event kicked off with an exciting and competitive football match. Seeing the players eagerly heading towards their first victory, other individuals threw the same efforts for themselves in gaining victory. All games ended with teams and individuals having tried their best getting the championships. But when everyone thought that it would be a sure win for the teams - made up of heavy weight members - in the tug-of-war competition, it came as a real surprise when they all lost in the heats.

PSRC was no quiet place at all on that day, with drums, gongs, whistles, clapping hands, shouting voices filling the venue all day long, indoor and outdoor alike. Along with colourful banners and flags, different colour polo shirts worn by members of different Formations brightened up the PSRC.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony, KW Regional Commander Lee Ka-chiu remarked that he was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the players and spectators, and more so by the team spirit displayed. Following the presentation of prizes by senior officers of the Region, Mr Lee presented trophies to Kowloon City District and KW Emergency Unit for their overall outstanding sportsmanship.
