Auxie promotions
Five Auxiliary Police Officers have been promoted to Superintendent in anticipation of retirement of senior Auxie officers in upcoming years.
The newly promoted Auxie superintendents are Edgar Yang Joe-tsi, Yuen Kong-king, To Ming-yin, Anita Wong Wai-king and May Chan Siu-mai.
"Some of our senior officers have left the Auxiliary Police after its reform in 1999. We reckon that a couple of senior retirements will also take effect in the coming years. Therefore,the promotion will help ensure that the Auxiliary Force will continue maintaining a healthy succession plan," said HKAPF Deputy Commandant Lawrence Lam Yin-ming.
