Detective Police Constables Chung Kwan-tung of Western District and Yang Chung-wah of Aberdeen Division are co-winners of the Complaints Prevention Essay Competition, which was launched by the Complaints Prevention Committee (CPC) last summer. The 1st and 2nd runners-up are Detective Senior Police Constable Wan Ho-ming of Wan Chai District (WCHDIST) and Police Constable Kam Suen of Emergency Unit Kowloon West respectively. The four merit award winners are Police Constable To Wai of Yuen Long Division, Sergeant Chan Kin-wing of Complaints Against Police Office Hong Kong Island, Sergeant Lee Chi-keung of WCHDIST, and Woman Police Constable Lam Chi-lok of Tsuen Wan District. The competition has received a total of 118 entries for both the categories for Force members and their children. In the children category, the winner is Chan Yik-yu, followed by Lau Bik-yan as 1st runner-up, Chen Wing-chi 2nd runner-up, and Chim Hoi-ching merit award winner. The winner and runners-up of each category will be awarded book coupons of $ 1,000, $500 and $300 respectively, in addition to a trophy, Merit award winners will each receive a $100 book coupon. All other entrants will receive a letter of appreciation. The presentation ceremony will be held next month and details will be announced in due course. The Adjudicating Panel comprised Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Wong Doon-yee, C&IIB Chief Superintendent Chang Mo-see, and CPC Chairman Yip Sheung-fung. |
