A new Complaints Against Police Reporting Centre located at ground floor, Annex Block, Caine House, No.3 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai (adjacent to the Central Police Station), started operation on March 21, providing a more convenient way for the public to make reports regardless of regional boundaries.

Members of the public can make a report to this new centre in addition to the existing means of reporting to police stations, via Police's internet homepage, or by fax, letter or telephone.

The new centre opens from 8 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday and from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday. During these hours, the complaints hotline 2866-7700 is manned by officers on duty, while callers' message will be recorded outside office hours. Meanwhile, a new faxline 2200-4460 has started operation.

With the opening of the new reporting centre, the report rooms of the Complaint Against Police Office's regional offices, including Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, have ceased operations.
