Family Protection Fund re-opens for application

The Family Protection Fund is open for applications until 31st of this month from those who missed the opportunity to apply within the first three months after joining the Force. After this re-opening period, fund membership will be available only for those who apply within the first three months after joining the Force on recruitment or transfer.

The monthly contribution of the Fund is $50, to be deducted from salaries.

The Family Protection Fund, administered by the Support Group of Personnel Services & Staff Relations Branch, is a voluntary group life insurance scheme tailor-made for officers of inspectorate rank and above, as well as civilian staff. It provides a maximum insurance protection of $500,000 in the unfortunate event an insured officer dies whilst in service or suffers from varying degrees of permanent disability in accidents.
