A 40 - member delegation, comprising Commandant Geraladine Tan, teacher officers, Cadet Inspectors and members of the National Police Cadets Corps (NPCC) of the Singapore Police Force, paid a second study visit to the Force from June 14 to 20. The first visit was made last year.
Led by the Director of Special Duties and Public Affairs of the Singapore Police Force, Senior Assistant Commissioner Tan Puay Kern, the delegation sought to gain an insight into the policing work in Hong Kong and, in particular, the Junior Police Call (JPC) Scheme.
The study visit began on June 15 when Director of Operations Yam Tat-wing welcomed the delegation at a reception at PHQ SO Mess. After this, Mr Tan and the Commandant paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner, accompanied by Mr Yam and Acting CSP PPRB Jacob Cheung, while the other delegation members visited the various sections of the PPRB, including the TV & Film Section, JPC Section, Newsroom and OffBeat Section.
The delegation members later met JPC leaders and members at experience-sharing sessions arranged by PPRB. |
