Police Community Relations Office (PCRO) staff from Central and Yau Tsim districts last month had a very useful exchange on the ways of handling public order events like petitions, rallies or processions. As Central District deals with an average of 30 such events per month, Yau Tsim PCRO was anxious to learn Central District's valuable experiences in the hope they would fare well during the MC6. Apart from imparting their experiences and observations, Central District PCRO also arranged site visits to explain how to communicate with organisers of public order events and how to assist in ensuring that the events are carried out in a safe and orderly manner. |
