To further leverage the benefits of the Force IT systems, Information Systems Wing (ISW) and Personnel (P) Wing have jointly developed the e-JPO Annual Report Form (ARF), which was rolled out on June 18. The first batch of JPOs using the new form will be those whose incremental dates fall in October. They will be required to use it after July 1.

As an extension of the e-application of the inspectorate cadre's ARF, online completion of the JPO ARF is now feasible on POINT with personal data of the appraisee automatically replicated from PICS upon logon. Management data, such as preferred location of work, streaming choice, ratings of performance and recommendations to confirmation and increment, will be captured to PICS upon online submission.

To better align an individual's performance with organisational mission, the revised form incorporates a new feature of "Objectives Setting". In addition to "Self Assessment", appraisees are now encouraged to set objectives in support of the formation's plan and in pursuance of personal development in the following appraisal cycle. It is intended that the form can be used as a tool to better manage staff performance from the stage of planning to that of reviewing. Guidance Notes on how to complete the form and to set objectives have been issued and are available at P Wing website, together with a user-friendly Self Learning Package and answers to FAQs collected at the briefing sessions convened for 470 formation trainers and JPOA representatives.

Logon password to 7800s POINT terminals in the Force has been assigned to all officers to support the new form.
