The third "Balances and Wisdom" seminar of 2005 organised by the Psychological Services Group (PSG) will be conducted in Cantonese in the Auditorium, 8/F, Arsenal House, PHQ, from 9 am to noon on July 9. At the seminar, Mr Patrick Kung, Force Training Officer; Ms Alison Mak, Police Clinical Psychologist, and Ms Paulina Kwok, Centre Supervisor of Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre, will speak on the topic of "How Police Culture affects our Families - Interactive Dramas".

Police have unique cultures such as emphasis on order and discipline and difficulties in revealing self-vulnerabilities, etc. Perhaps without any awareness, police officers may bring home these cultures, which will subtly affect family relationship. At the seminar, some typical police family stories will be put on the stage in the form of drama. Force members are welcome to come along and participate in the dramas to recount their own family stories. Spouses are also welcome.

For enrolment, call Mrs Sit on 2866-1992 during office hours or contact PSG by PEN at psg-gr@police.gov.hk

The inauguration ceremony of the newly established "Carelinks Cadre" will take place during the seminar, with Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Wai-ki officiating.
