HKSAR Anniversary observed
The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, and senior government officials joined some 800 guests at the flag raising ceremony on July 1 to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Meanwhile, 36 members of the Force, including serving and retired disciplined officers, as well as civilians, have been honoured in the 2005 HKSARG Honours and Awards List announced on July 1.
The awards comprise seven Hong Kong Police Medals for Distinguished Service, one Bronze Bauhinia Star, 24 Hong Kong Police Medals for Meritorious Service, one Medal of Honour and three Chief Executive's Commendations for Government Service.
