MOWDIST promotes healthy living
To promote healthy lifestyle among officers and better relationship with the local community, Marine Outer Waters District (MOWDIST) held a dragon boat race and a "Barbecue Night" last month. About 150 officers participated in the race, which included a Promotion Race for Marine East Division (MEDIV), Marine West Division (MWDIV), and Marine North Division (MNDIV).
MWDIV won the Promotion Race, followed by MEDIV as 1st runner-up and MNDIV as 2nd runner-up, while MOWDIST took the championship of the Invitation Race, beating MAR HQs, 1st runner-up, and the Police Dragon Boat Team, 2nd runner-up.
Attending the barbecue after the dragon boat race were about 200 officers, guests and representatives from local fishermen associations. Joining the guests at the barbecue were Marine Regional Commander Au Hok-lam, Marine Deputy Regional Commander Kong Shing-shun, and MOW District Commander Kong Sai-cheong.
In addition, there were games and recreational activities for officers' families and guests.
