Assistance required for Sedan Chair Race
This is the 31st running of the event and this year there have been a record number of entries for the race. The race forms the focal point of a bazaar, which will be both entertaining and enjoyable.
This gruelling event requires a team of eight persons to carry a sedan chair, with a "live" person in it, around a 3.2-km course. It provides an opportunity for everyone to help a large number of worthy causes.
Those wishing to sponsor the team are requested to make out cheques payable to "Matilda Charities Fund" and send them to CIP Ian Strange at PTU HQ by November 20. Donations exceeding $100 are tax deductible and receipts will be issued. Indicate whether receipt is required and mark the envelope with "Sedan Chair Race".
