NTN officers thanked for foiling burglary
The proprietor of a ginseng shop in Tai Po called at New Territories North (NTN) Headquarters last month to express his gratitude to the police for apprehending a burglar and recovering $110,000 worth of dried sea food.
During the visit, the proprietor presented banners to DC NTN Cheung Siu-wah, DVC TPDIV Li Wing-hong, PTU "C2" Platoon (NTN) and DVIT 1 TPDIV.
While on patrol in the small hours of January 18, officers of the platoon were alerted by sound coming from the ginseng shop. Backed up by colleagues from TPDIV, the officers apprehended the burglar as he fled from the shop.
