Officers commended for saving life |

Police Constables Ma Ho-ming and Wong Chi-kwong, both from Emergency Unit Kowloon West, were recently presented the Director of Marine's Commendation at the Marine Department for saving a man from drowning in the harbour off Tsim Sha Tsui East. Upon being alerted by the public of a man trying to commit suicide off Tsim Sha Tsui East, the officers immediately jumped into the choppy sea and pulled the man ashore. "We didn't hesitate at all before jumping into the sea because saving life is part of our job. We're glad that we've done something we can cherish about in our police work," said the officers after receiving their commendation.
