Achievements in sports and arts honoured |

Airport District has claimed the Purdon Shield with its overall outstanding achievement in sports in 2005. At the same time, 22 officers have been presented with awards for their achievements in sports and arts within and outside the Force in 2005. Among the officers, SIP Clement Lee Kwok-chung from HKI Emergency Unit, a tennis player, has clinched the Watson Cup as the overall outstanding athlete in 2005. Sixteen officers have won the Force Colours Award for Sport with their outstanding achievements in, or services to, sports in 2005. They are PC Lo Kai-chung (Adventure), Analyst Programmer Tse Pui-kwan (Archery), SGT Lee Suet-fai (Football), SPC Lui Chung-hon (Football Referee), SIP Lai Chi-hung (Golfing), SP Barry John Smith (Rugby), SIP Chiu Ching-chiu (Shooting), SGT Chu Pok-lun (Shooting), SIP Wong Tak-cheung (Swimming), PC Chan Chun-fai (Table Tennis), SSP Cheung Chun-por (Tennis), IP Mak Ping-fai (Tennis), SSGT Lam Bik-fung (Tenpin Bowling), SPC Kwok Tim-hoi (Tenpin Bowling), CSP David Cartwright (Volleyball), and SIP Li Hon-man (Volleyball). Having won the Force Colours Awards for Arts with their outstanding achievements in, or services to, arts in 2005, are SGT Pang Wai-tong (Painting and Calligraphy), DSSGT Tong Hing-wai (Pop Music), SPC Liu Chee-man (Choir), WSPC Or Hing-chun (Handicraft) and SGT Tung Sam-kwun (Chinese Culture). Commissioner Lee Ming-kwai officiated at the award presentation ceremony.
