Peak Police Station Open Day

The Peak Police Station will open its doors to the public on three days this month, with the aim of looking back at the Force's past by tracing the history of the old station. The open day events will include an exhibition of historic photos and objects, as well as performances by the pipers of the Police Band and police dogs.

The Open Day will be held on three Saturdays, each day catering for different groups of visitors - August 5 for members of district organisations (by appointment), August 12 for members of Junior Police Call, voluntary organisations and organisations for the elderly (by appointment), and August 19 for serving and retired police officers and civilian staff (with tickets).

As the station is not so spacious and in order to accommodate more visitors, admission on the "Police Day" on August 19 will be arranged in sessions each lasting one-and- a-half-hour.

There will be no parking facility for visitors but buses plying between the Peak Galleria and Peak Police Station will be available. By taking the shuttle buses, visitors can enjoy on the way the scenery on the Peak. Tickets for the Open Day will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. For ticket reservation, call 2860-4119 between 8am and 8pm on Monday, August 7, and Tuesday, August 8. Reserved tickets must be collected in the Report Room of Central Police Station at Arsenal Street in person on the day of reservation. Uncollected tickets will be re-distributed.

For enquiries, contact the Open Day Preparation Team on 2849-0287 or e-mail to do-rr-pksdiv@police.gov.hk.
