In accordance with CP's three-year Strategic Action Plan in respect of greater interface with the Mainland, Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) has further strengthened intelligence network with its Mainland counterparts.

Upon invitation, CCB recently participated in a knowledge-sharing seminar organised by the Economic Crime Investigation Department in Zhuhai. Speaking of developing intelligence-led investigation against commercial and Internet frauds, two CCB representatives, Senior Superintendent (Fraud) Tsang Cheung-tat and Senior Inspector (Mainland Liaison) Yip Wing-lam, introduced the recently centralised intelligence system of CCB as a means to enhance both tactical and strategic capabilities. The presentation was well received by the audience, followed by an enthusiastic exchange of views.

Mr Tsang emphasised that the Force's existing intelligence system was the outcome of evolution and development through constant practices over the years.

It was a rewarding experience for the CCB officers to have close interaction with more than 40 representatives from Guangdong Province, as well as Macao and other major cities on the Mainland such as Shanghai and Chongqing. This has also afforded the CCB officers an invaluable opportunity not only to enhance their professional knowledge but also forge closer relationships with fraud investigators in the Region.
