The Hong Kong Section of the International Police Association (IPA), in co-operation with its Macao counterparts, will hold a "Friendship Week" from November 12 to 20, the first IPA event of this nature ever held in East Asia. Attending the event will be more than 60 guests from many different IPA Sections, including those from the US, the UK, Germany, Austria, Portugal and Pakistan. They will spend five days in Hong Kong from November 12 to 16, and will leave for Macao the following day. Local IPA members are invited to join the event to meet the overseas guests, in particular the dinner at POC on Sunday, September 12, and the barbecue at PSRC at 7 pm on Monday, September 13. IPA Hong Kong Section welcomes officers to assist in the event, particularly those fluent in German and Spanish, by accompanying the guests on their sight-seeing trips in Hong Kong, with all the necessary expenses to be borne by the Section. This is a great opportunity for Force members to make friends with their overseas counterparts. Those interested may contact Jack Tam (email: liaison@ipa-hksar.com mobile: 9465-3945), Connie Chung (email: conniewychung@yahoo.com mobile: 9217-9628), or Henry Yu (email: henryhkyu@yahoo.com mobile: 9455-5486).
