Support Group to help officers

The Welfare Service Group of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch is rallying behind officers or their families suffering from cancer, by organising a support group to provide all the necessary assistance.

To equip themselves with helping skills and to know more about cancer, members of the support group will meet multi-disciplinary professionals next month to discuss treatment, recuperation, care and support for cancer patients. They will also attend talks to be given by oncologists, dietitians and Chinese medicine practitioners.

The meetings are scheduled to take place at PSRC on Friday, November 10, from 9 am to 5 pm, at Tai Mei Tuk Activities Training Centre on Friday, November 17 from 9 am to 5 pm and again at PSRC on Friday, November 24 from 9 am to 1 pm. The last meeting will also include a visit to the Cancer Link of the Hong Kong Cancer Fund in the afternoon.
