The newly appointed members of the Central and Western District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) recently visited the Central Division (CDIV) and Police Headquarters (PHQ), and lent a hand in a fight crime publicity drive.

In the Central Division, the DFCC members observed the daily operations of the report room and visited the facilities and equipment of the armoury, video recording interview room and identification parade room.

They later toured the facilities in PHQ, including the Multi-purpose Hall, Auditorium and Indoor Range. In the Indoor Range, they heard a presentation on firearms and watched a demonstration on the use of force in the "mini-cinema range".

After the visit, the Chairman of Central and Western DFCC, Mr Yip Wing-shing, and members presented souvenirs to Central District Commander Wong Chi-hung in appreciation of his effort in maintaining law and order.

On the following day, the DFCC members kicked off a fight crime publicity drive for Central and Western, and both Mr Wong and Western District Commander Chiu Wing-yin joined the party in handing out publicity leaflets to alert the public of street scam.

DFCC members being briefed on Central Division's facilities and equipment
