Recognising that officers have to become more knowledgeable in a fast changing world and in the face of rising public expectations, New Territories North Region has conducted a series of seminar to render frontline supervisors better equipped for their jobs.

NTN Senior Superintendent (Operations) Yu Mun-wah said the seminars covered topics closely related to the officers' work, including "Mountain Search and Rescue Operation", "Medical Assistance in CBRN incidents" and "Police Assistance Relating to Action against Infectious Diseases".

Guest speakers with different expertise from the Mountain Rescue Team of the Civil Aid Service, Government Flying Service, Hospital Authority, Fire Services Department and Health Department shared their experience and knowledge with officers from different formations in NTN. Their presentations have been described as fascinating and professional.

Mr Yu said the seminars were well received by the audiences, and both the speakers and audiences, during discussion sessions, had acquired knowledge from each other and enhance communication and mutual understanding, which will augur well for future co-operation in real situations. Both parties are looking forward to having more similar experience sharing sessions in the future for strengthening their functional competency and providing better services to the public.
