Kowloon West Deputy Regional Commander Chang Mo-see, together with 12 woman police officers from various police districts and formations, participated in the Sixth Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Woman Police Officers Annual Exchange Meeting in Macao from November 8 to 10.

At the meeting, Ms Chang met the Guangdong delegation led by Ms Luo Juan, Deputy Director of Guangdong Public Security Department cum Honorary Chairman of Provincial Woman Police Officers' Association, and the Macao delegation headed by Ms Kok Fong-mei, Senior Assistant Commissioner of the Macao Public Security Forces Affairs Bureau.

Giving a speech at the opening ceremony on the theme of the meeting - "Discussion on the Gambling-Related Criminal Issues from the Perspective of Woman Police Officers", Ms Chang pointed out that with constant changes in society and increasing challenges, gambling-related criminal issues have become increasingly complicated and their pattern is continuously changing, adding that she hoped to share the experience and insight of this subject with delegates to the meeting.

Ms Chang specially mentioned that although World Cup football betting was more intense this year, the law enforcement officers of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao had performed remarkably well in taking enforcement action against illegal gambling activities.

Affirming the importance of the meeting, Ms Chang said: "The exchanges conducted over the years have not only deepened understanding of each other's work, but also enhanced friendship and co-operation. These have a positive effect on the maintenance of law and order in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao."

During the three-day meeting, delegates were given a warm reception by their hosts and were arranged to visit the Macao Security Forces Museum, the Academy of Security Forces (Escola Superior das Forcas de Seguranca de Macao), and local scenic spots and historic sites.

The Powerpoint presentation of the HKP has been uploaded to the KM Portal of Police Intranet.
