The Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee (KT DFCC), upon the arrangement made by the Police Community Relations Offices of Sau Mau Ping and Kwun Tong Districts, recently visited the Emergency Unit of Kowloon East (EU KE).

As the visit was the first of its kind, both the DFCC members and EU officers were rather excited about their meeting.

During the visit, the DFCC members looked at the firearms and equipment being used by EU KE such as MP5 machine gun, Remington shotgun, Personal Protection Equipment and door breaking equipment, toured the unit's operational base and chatted with frontline officers, getting a better idea of the services the officers provide and the challenges they face during today-to-day work. All members were impressed with what they had seen and heard.

At the end of the tour, the Chairman of Kwun Tong DFCC, Mr Lai Shu-ho, presented a souvenir to the OC of EU KE, Woman Superintendent Yolanda Chan Mei-pui, on behalf of the DFCC in appreciation of the unit's efforts in maintaining law and order.
