Vehicle contract signed

The Force signed an agreement with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) Trading Fund at PHQ on January 4 for the department to provide services for police vehicles over the next six financial years.

Signing the "Service Level Agreement - Vehicle" were Deputy Commissioner (Management) Fung Siu-yuen and Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Mr Ho Kwong-wai.

Under the agreement, effective from April 1, this year to March 31, 2013, EMSD will provide various services for police vehicles, including routine servicing and inspection, corrective maintenance, running maintenance and 24-hour breakdown towing. The charge for these services is about $55 million per year.
